NEW DE-POPULATION POLICY BY
GOVERNMENT OF SUDAN IN WESTERN UPPER NILE REGION
The
government of Sudan and the Talisman
oil companies alliances are wasting no time to completely occupy Western Upper
Nile region by de-populating it while the rebel forces who use to be a block to
that are in a state of perplex and great confusion in Western Upper Nile region
.
It
becomes apparent that the government of
Sudan is succeeding in its policy of divide and rule in Western Upper
Nile by dividing the rebel forces into pieces for its great advantage to
extract the oil with out difficulties.
Apart
from their usual friend over few years now General Paulino Matiep , officially
sponsored militia general of Western
Upper Nile by the government of Sudan,
hence, have now created new militias
generals independently with their independent commands from Paulino Matiep and
they are directly reportable to the government Arabs army commanders
differently in different garrisons in Western Upper Nile.
The
new creation of independent commands includes Commander Peter Par Jiek formerly
the over all commander of SPDF forces
in Western Upper Nile and personally control areas of Leer and Adok, Commander David Gatluak Dowmai formerly SPDF
commander who was in control of Jagei
and Rier oil fields parishes, Commander James Liah Dieu SPDF commander formerly
in control of Jikany and Guet district and the oil fields areas in Jikany
areas, Commander Franco Gai Ruac who was in control of part of Leek parishes
according to former SPDF structures and among them the bulk militia forces
of general Paulino Matiep who controls
part of Mayom county and Rub-kona province.
All
these Southern Sudanese rebel commanders and interestingly all from Western
Upper Nile are now fighting side by side with the government of Sudan against
any other rebel groups trying to stop de-population and occupation of Western Upper Nile, because the government
is telling them that the other rebels are stopping the development of Western Upper Nile, however, the main deal
between these people and the government is supplies of arms and ammunitions for
the purpose of killing their own brothers, but unfortunately, forgetting that
the land they cherished and the people they claim to liberate are taken over by
strangers or completely destroyed by the Northerners and occupied the land.
While
these militia commanders the former SPDF Officers and men and Matiep militias
engaged in fighting their Southern rebel groups who are denying government
access to the area like those of Commander Peter Gatdeat who allied himself and
his forces with the SPLA , then on the other hand the government is heavily
engaged behind lines in de-populating all the villages and re-deployed regular
armed forces, popular defense forces from North and resettling Arab Bagarra
tribesmen from Western and Southern Kordofan on the left behind villages.
Unfortunately,
the paradox is, when the allied militias to the government comes back from
operations to the left behind villages they always find new settlers who are
Arabs and not Nuer's or Dinka people who are originally from there. The
question is how do these militia men who are destroying their own people and
land feel about that?
Names of Villages which are
already de-populated, occupied and re-settled in both Dinka and Nuer villages
of Western Upper Nile region are as
follows:
Dinka villages
Alieng,
Mankuor, Dier, Wicthong Awout, Labang, Obeak and Pannet in Alieng County.
Pankuok, Pakuim, Thijong, Ngaboli, Panyang in Panyang County.
Biew,
Buol, Pan Akotjok, JokAbar, and Aboah, all in Biew County. Abiemnom and
Awurpiny in Mayom County. These are total of 22 villages in Dinka land of
Pariang or Ruweng County.
Nuer Villages
Kaikang,
Maluo, Kaljak, Chotchare, Thar ngoup, Wathjack, Budang, Barkuor, Kerial,
Wunbout, Nyinatoor, Panyang, Bow, Thorgow Chotyieal, Tharbaar and Thoar Jikany
in Rub-kona and Mayom counties.
These
make total of 18 villages and many more which I could not recall their names.
Contributions of Talisman
Oil companies alliances to policy of de-population process in Western Upper
Nile region
It
is evidence that Talisman Companies are sponsoring policies of de-population to
enlarged their oil operation without any hindrance from the rebels fighters,
sponsoring destruction of civil population in their hiding villages in the
forests by constructing passable roads to those villages, genocide and
financing strategies of occupation and resettlement of Arab Bagarra in Western
Upper Nile.
Government
security personnel in the area, popular defense force (PDF) of the government
and Settlers from Western Kordofan and Muglad are given soft loans by Talisman
company to settle and provide security of the oil fields. Their contribution
therefore, is totally unacceptable is dehumanizing and exterminating the
indigenous people of Western Upper Nile.
Deployment of Troops in
Western Upper Nile region
Forces
deployed in this area are as equal to occupation forces in any other part of
the world and they are at the present at 25,000 troops reinforced , mechanized
and with air force facilities such as Russian antonov bombers and helicopter
gun ships which have terrorized the civil population including their livestock
and causing the poisons in drinking water and pastures for cattle and goats.
