O R C D
The Organization for Relief and Community Development (ORCD) was founded in 1999 and is registered with the Kenyan NGO Bureau. It is an indigenous NGO working with the people of southern Sudan.
In 2000, ORCD delivered emergency relief items such as non-food items, health kits (medicines), educational materials, and water and sanitation materials, and promoted human rights and demobilization of child soldiers in Western Upper Nile through local authorities and local chiefs. UNICEF/OLS Southern Sector and other agencies donated materials to ORCD for distribution, administration and reporting.
ORCD does not yet have its own web site, but SSFI believes that its work should be better known. So we have added this page to our web site. If you have comments or questions about the ORCD and its work, please send email to Mr. Koang Tut Doh.
The following documents are available. In accordance with SSFI's quotation policy, you may quote from these documents, provided the quote is accompanied by an acknowledgement that the material comes from ORCD via SSFI's web site.
