As we stated on our last press release of March 2, 2002 that SPLA wanted to
attack and to capture Mawut and Akobo, we are now at war with SPLA.This
morning at dawn,March 11,2002, our forces were attacked at Mawut. The
SSLM/A has withdrawn from the town. We condem this un-provoked attack. The
world should know now this is the beginning of inter-factional warfare
between the Dinka based SPLA and the SSLM/A. This aggression will not go
unanswered.
