Pray for Sudan

Please Pray for Southern Sudan

Dear Friends of Southern Sudan,

Please reserve a little time this weekend (Thanksgiving weekend in the US) to pray for Sudan. Here are some suggestions from Julia Duany that you may find helpful. However you pray, tell God what is in your heart about Sudan and its people.

Give thanks for the progress of the People to People Peace and Reconciliation Process
Give thanks for the growing awareness in the US about the genocide in Sudan
Give thanks for the churches in Sudan and for her leaders
Ask God to continue opening the hearts of the south Sudanese people to accept forgiveness, peace, and reconciliation
Ask God to grant wisdom and discernment to the churches in the US so that they may intervene in ways that encourage Christians and Muslims to live together in peace in Sudan
Ask God to call Christian people to come to Sudan and help equip the leaders of Sudanese churches for effective ministry in their communities
