Angola
Middle School
supports the people of southern Sudan
On May 15, 2000, Julia Duany visited Angola Middle School, in Angola, Indiana. She spoke to students there, and they presented her with a check for $84.73. The students had raised the money to help people in southern Sudan. Here are two local newspaper stories about her visit:
From the Evening Star
From another Angola paper (unfortunately, we don't know the paper's name)
| After the visit, students sent Julia a big thank-you card. This photo shows Julia and SSFI treasurer Isabel Hogue with the card. | ![]() |

SSFI's mission is to share the love of Jesus Christ with the people of southern Sudan in a way that leads them towards peaceful and self-reliant living from the grassroots level, so that available resources will meet the needs of their communities. |
